01

Member accounts and responsibility

Members must provide accurate account, location and seller information; keep access to their account secure; and use Thread Revival only for lawful Canadian marketplace activity. Members are responsible for their listings, communications, packaging and handoffs. Buyer–seller communication should stay in the private Thread Revival conversation so the order record can be reviewed if a problem is reported. Thread Revival may restrict or suspend activity needed to protect members, comply with law or investigate misuse.

02

Marketplace and fee rules

Accounts and listings are free. Founding sellers pay an 8% marketplace fee for their first 12 months; the standard fee is 10% afterward, with a $2 minimum per completed sale. Standard domestic payment processing is included. GST/HST on the marketplace fee is calculated from the seller's province and deducted separately. Buyers pay the selected shipping rate. INSPIRE items have no marketplace fee.

03

Canadian sales-tax handling

Listing prices exclude tax. Applicable GST/HST, QST or PST is calculated at checkout from the buyer's delivery province and displayed before payment. Thread Revival collects and reports buyer sales tax for sales by private sellers where the platform is legally liable. GST/HST-registered business sellers must provide a valid registration number and maintain an active connected-account tax registration before paid listings can check out. Tax on shipping is calculated separately when applicable.

04

Returns, refunds and disputes

Buyers must use Report a problem in the private order conversation to report an item that is materially not as described, counterfeit, damaged before shipment or missing within 72 hours of tracked delivery or documented local handoff. Buyers may attach photo evidence. If no issue is reported within that inspection window, seller funds may be released. Buyer-remorse, fit and colour differences caused by a screen are not automatic return reasons. Sellers must disclose condition and measurements. Thread Revival may review the conversation, hold funds, require evidence, approve a return or refund, and recover amounts connected to a valid dispute.

05

Safe and permitted listings

Listings must be lawful, authentic, clean and accurately described. Counterfeit, recalled, stolen or hazardous goods; weapons; controlled substances; explicit material; and items that violate carrier restrictions are prohibited. Used intimate garments and unsafe personal-care goods are not permitted. Thread Revival may remove listings or suspend accounts to protect the community.

06

Youth and guardian accounts

Children under 13 may participate only through a guardian-owned account. Members aged 13–17 require a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for the account and controls any future payout setup. Payment providers may require the adult representative to provide identity and banking information.

07

INSPIRE community sharing

INSPIRE items are always $0, with no income test and no Thread Revival commission. The giver, recipient or sponsor responsible for shipping is shown before a claim. Claims are first-completed, first-reserved. Repeated bulk claiming, automated claiming or commercial resale abuse can result in limits or suspension.

08

Member content and intellectual property

Members retain ownership of their photographs and descriptions. By publishing, a member gives Thread Revival a non-exclusive permission to display, resize and promote that listing for marketplace operation. Members must own or have permission to use everything they upload and may request removal of their content, subject to transaction, safety and legal record-retention needs.

PRIVACY SUMMARY

Only what the marketplace needs.

Information collected. Thread Revival stores account identity, public closet information, seller tax status, transaction and claim activity, private marketplace messages and evidence photos, listing photographs, and the minimum shipping information needed to calculate or fulfill delivery. Shipping postal codes and member email addresses are kept private from other members. Payment credentials, identity verification and banking information are handled by the connected payment provider rather than stored by Thread Revival.

How information is used. Information is used to operate accounts, publish member content, calculate fees and shipping, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, meet tax and platform-reporting duties, provide support, and protect the community. Service providers receive only the information required to perform their role.

Retention and safeguards. Account and content records are retained while needed to provide the service and satisfy legal, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute obligations, then deleted or anonymized where practical. Administrative access is restricted, information is protected in transit and at rest, and service providers may process information outside a member's province or Canada subject to their safeguards and applicable law.

Your choices. Members may request access to, correction of or deletion of their personal information, withdraw optional consent, or raise a privacy concern by emailing info@threadrevivalco.ca. Some transaction and compliance records must be retained even after an account closes. Marketing messages will require separate consent and include an unsubscribe method.

These operating terms are a practical launch safeguard and should be reviewed by Canadian marketplace counsel before paid transactions are enabled.
